The Camera (DSLR’s vs. Cell Phones)
What is a DSLR Camera?
A DSLR camera in the simplest terms stands for "Digital Single Lens Reflex" Camera. Many experts use a DSLR camera due to it's many functions and settings available for taking a great shot compared to other standard cameras.
How does a DSLR Camera Work?
A DSLR camera works by first allowing light to enter in through the lens. The light then passes through the camera's aperture which allows a photographer to configure the amount of light that is able to enter past the aperture. Once the light continues to travel farther into the camera the light reflects off of the image sensor and bonces off the mirrors into the camera's view finder.
What is the difference between DSLRs and cell phone cameras?
The biggest and most notable difference between a DSLR and a phone's camera is the number of settings a photographer can manipulate on a DSLR camera vs a cell phone camera. A DSLR camera has the option for a optical zoom lens while a phone uses digital zoom. You are also able to remove the lens from a DSLR while that is not possible on a phone's camera. A phone can come in handy for taking good shots when you are on a roller coaster or waterside while using a DSLR, it can be hard to focus on an object in a short amount of time. You can fit the phone in your pocket while the DSLR is too large of a camera to fit. The resolution of any photo from any DSLR camera is going to look more realistic and clearer then the fake effects that a phone's camera is able to produce. Whether or not you decide to choose a DSLR or a phone for your main camera, you are either going to be sacrificing the resolution for the size or the size for the resolution.
